Itinerary: Bahamas

This was my first cruise and I'm hooked. I live in Ft. Lauderdale and it was an easy drive to the port of Miami where there was ample parking at $10 per day. I picked my ticket up and was in my cabin in all of 30 min. My cabin was very comfortable for me and I've no complaints at all. Plenty to do on the ship and it's all laid out for you on the informative flyer you will find in your stateroom every day. You have your choice of dining either buffet or dining room, lots to eat.

The Nassau layover was great. You have your choice of taking the ships tours or you can explore on your own which I did and it turned out to be cheaper. There's one thing I want to bring to the attention of first time cruisers. It was unfortunate to see the obnoxious way that some passengers treated the crew. These crewmembers are almost all foreigners and are away from their friends and family for months on end. They are here to make your trip as pleasant as possible but they are not your slaves. They work under very difficult conditions and are sometimes not appreciated. Frankly, I found them to be far more interesting than my fellow passengers. One note, the tipping is now done automatically, about $10 per passenger per day but show a little appreciation....tip them more. After Nassau we sailed all day and night back to Miami. There's so much to do on the Fascination that you can't do it all but you should try. I really enjoyed Carnival's Fascination and especially it's crew and I will be back as soon as I can.
