Carnival Fascination Cruise Review

Michaell Ann Jamison

Age: 43
Occupation: Sales Manager - Travel Agent
Number of Cruises:10+
Cruise Line: Carnival
Ship: Fascination
Sailing Date: May 7th, 2001
Itinerary: Western Caribbean

I escourted a group on this ship and also was shocked to learn that we were sailing to the Eastern Caribbean instead of Western. I certainly would have appreciated Carnival taking 5 minutes of their time to contact me prior to the sailing so I could have advised my group of the change in itinerary before arriving at the port and embarking the ship. I feel this is very unprofessional of Carnival.

The ship personnel went overboard to accommodate myself and my group. At least the ones I was in contact with. The other review I read on this page had quite a different view.

I found the food to be wonderful in all eating venues.

I was disappointed in the shore excursions and my group expressed the same feelings. One specific complaint was the Sting Ray excursion in Nassau. I was told there were 40 swimmers and 2 sting rays.

Also, the weather was very windy which of course is not the fault of the cruise line.

My only real complaint was the lack of communication and I feel that the corporate office should take the brunt of this blame.
