This was my first short cruise and I wasn't sure what to expect but everything
was awesome! They tried to pack a sampling of all the longer cruise activities
into the shorter time schedule so I got to enjoy shows, comedy acts, etc. The
only thing they had less of that I could tell were the deck games -- or maybe I
was just so busy elsewhere I didn't realize they were happening.
The ship is older but I didn't notice any signs of wear and tear. And the
omnipresent mannequins that everyone ranted about seemed to have disappeared so
the decor was pretty much the same as every other Carnival ship.
Actually, the food was the same too so I can't say I had any new adventures in
epicuria!
The best part of the weekend for me was that we had been upgraded from a Cat. 1A
cabin to a Verandah mini suite with balcony!!! Don't ask me how -- I've never
been upgraded before -- and even the gal at check in asked me who I knew!
Nassau Bahamas is my least favorite island so far out of all my cruises. I can't
really say anything about it other than it was "okay". The water was nice, a
little seaweedy, Cable Beach was okay but I've been to so many nicer beaches
that I wasn't really impressed.
Overall, I'd recommend this cruise for anyone looking for a quick getaway or for
a first time cruiser to see if cruising is something you'd like.
