Overall:
Boat was rocking all week. Wasn't as smooth as previous cruises. Felt the ship
docking in Key West and Cozumel which previous cruises never heard the engines
or anything. .
Dining room wait staff needs to cheer up and get to know their guests. Great
service only goes so far w/o a great personality. For this, I got the gratuities
dropped off the bill $22.00 per person for the week; but me and my mom did pay
$11.00 in sealed envelope in person to the head waiter. At least 50% I think was
deserved for great service/great food but 50% cut off for having the service of
mummies.
Room Stewards - No personalities. No Hello's for the most part when I saw them.
Asked them about getting the shampoo dispenser fixed that didn't work all week
but they didn't do anything about it. Again, Gratuities were dropped $14.00 per
person for the week. Was just very disappointed in their lack of checking up
once or twice seeing how things are, making sure am happy, taking care of issues
or directing me where to get issues resolved (such as shampoo dispenser).
Ship Guests: Very Laid back, not so much of a party crowd. A bunch of small
groups here and there but most people seemed to be chilled out taking an easy
which I was totally fine with although prefer the party crowd.
Ship Cruise Director: Not impressed. This person did nothing from start to
finish. Always seemed short n sweet / simple to the point. All previous cruise
directors I've had were funny and took time to have fun when in the lounges.
This guy didn't seem to be too much into the crowd though he claimed to be a
cruise director for 12 years now.
Entertainment crew: Seemed to be into
themselves. Previous cruises they always seemed to get in the faces of the
guests and charm us. This crew seemed to be "new". Seemed to be in a learning
mode. Didn't seem to be as coordinated and ready to "have fun". Lido Deck Party
on Sea Day was a little more chilled out then past cruises. The Lido deck party
on 1st day seemed to be on the low key. The quality of fun in the games
throughout the week seemed to lack a spark.
Information Desk: Very helpful and seemed willing to please.
Palace Theatre Shows: outstanding, Great energy by the casts, very entertaining
Comedy shows: Not that funny. A little dry and boring
Food Quality: Great, Well cooked, fulfilling, plenty of variety all the time.
Soda Card: $25 for the week.
Ship experience: Newly renovated. Flat screen TV's in the room. Bathroom was
re-done. Interior was sharp and decorated for Christmas. Deck area is nice,
clean, and looks sharp.
Ship Crew: Laid back, Not too personable. A little calmer then usual I think on
the entertainment "fun ship" aspect. Could use a personality training session or
two for this current crew. Like the old saying "Service with a smile". Seems to
be a work-focused crew rather then a work-focused/customer-focused crew.
Bartenders: Seemed fast and hardworking. Again, not too personable or seeming to
care about anything then getting the drinks out as quick as possible.
I would recommend the Fascination for a short cruise. Very relaxing and long
week. Great food and good itinerary.
