Carnival Imagination Cruise Review

Tom Whelihan

Age: 49
Occupation: Financial Analyst
Number of Cruises: First Cruise
Cruise Line: Carnival
Name of Ship: Holiday
Sailing Date: December 21st, 2002
Itinerary: Western Caribbean

There was plenty to do on board when we were sailing. The ports of Playa and Cozumel were beautiful. We went on two tours. Both were great but too short. If we do it again we will not take the tours. There is a lot to do on your own and we felt we could swim, snorkel, scuba, and shop on our own without going through the tours.

It's hard not to eat too much. I think they have eight meals a day (seems like it anyway).

Negatives for the Holiday for me were the Spa (too small for the number of users) and the size of the ship. We had lots of people getting sea sick on the way back from Cozumel due to 8 foot waves--I am of course assuming that the movement would be felt less on the bigger ships.

Summary--great fun, my whole family enjoyed it. We would do it again in a heartbeat. I would however recommend getting the seasickness patch from your local MD prior to sailing. Also, I would plan on scheduling work out sessions at odd hours. Very early in the morning or late in the evening--after 9PM.
