Carnival Cruise Line has no compassion for a person when they lose a loved one.
I had planned a trip for my Mother and I to celebrate her 60th Birthday. I had
booked the cruise on November 5, 2002 not knowing that on January 18,2003 we
would get the most devistating news that my Mom had Lung Cancer in 4th stage. I
still continued on making plans for oxygen to travel with us but when the time
drew closer we ended up spending her 60th Birthday in the hospital, having her a
party with family and friends coming in to celebrate with her. Her Birthday
2-22-03 and 16 days later , March 10, 2003 she passed away. Not only did I lose
my Mother I lost my Best Friend and I was robbed of not getting to go on this
Mother/Daughter Cruise. All Carnival could say was you should have bought
insurance.....I never amagined in a million years my Mom would pass away. I just
feel that Carnival should have refunded all my money not half. I went on a
Carnival Cruise 6 years ago on the Fasination and I highly recommended Carnival
but I now would never recommend Carnival to anyone. As far as the airfare Delta
ia extending my airfare for 2 years and they are not even going to charge me to
change the name on my Mom's ticket, which usually cost $100.00.
I have stepped my last foot on Carnival and I will never recommend them to
anyone.
