Our ship was broke "technical problem with the ship's propulsion system..." A Carnival letter was given to us while checking onto the Holiday. I called customer service while in line and my option were to cancel or accept a $100 ship credit for our inconvenience. If you cancel this late there is "no refund" according to Carnival's rules. Carnival dropped-the-ball and I don't mean like Time Square. There was no planning for this situation from the corporate level. Our plans were to go to Cozumel for 1 day. They could not go to another port like New Orleans or Tampa but no it was a nowhere cruise. We bobbed around like a fishing cork for 4 days. We left on Thursday and return Monday for a 4 night cruise. We paid a higher price for this time since it was over New Year's. I am disappointed by Carnival's lack of response and planning. Even to the point, we returned late from going nowhere...so many problems on the ship. My plans were to see the Mayan ruins but got a ship in ruins.

Their service on-ship was good. Their entertainment and food was fine. The staff did what they could in a difficult situation. Overall rate this ship a 2 out of 10. Service on-ship rate a 7.5. Food and dining availability rate an 8.5. Entertainment rate an 8.

This is my first cruise but it will not be a last cruise. It will be my last with Carnival Cruise Line unless their response changes.
