OK--
This was a family getaway for my family of 4(me,my husband,& two sons-ages 8&12) and in my opinion was perfect! EVERYTHING!! (we never even got seasick or had to use our Dramamine) We sailed from Mobile Alabame, after going down the day before & spending the night there.

The next day, all very anxious this being our first time to cruise, we were up and raring to go! So we set out for the cruise terminal fairly early and actually was onboard the ship by lunch. We had heard several stories about long lines and the lengthy waits there, but for us--it was a breeze. No waiting, yes there was a line, of course, but things moved very quickly and we were on our way!

We went straight to find our cabin and put some things away that we were carrying (the men) carried the most of it. At the cabin/room, we were just in awwww upon opening the door. We had ocean view & just did not expect that window to be that big, we were just thrilled. My sons were saying to each other "I've got this seat tonight, I'll be watching the ocean & the stars"!!! The rooms are small, but perfect! Plenty of room for what you need. Plenty of sleeping space. We had a king size bed (the most comfortable bed & pillows that I have ever laid on)! Hated to leave that part--I slept better than I had slept in years and there was a twin bed, then over that bed another bed folded down from the wall, (like bunkbeds).

Then, away we go to see the ship and to get the feel of things. And we got it alright--It was simply amazing--wonderful! All they have to offer and to do. Everyone you meet is offering you something or trying to help, and they take lots of pictures and put on display for you to go see and purchase if you'd like and I wouldn't take anything for mine!! There's always LOTS of entertainment. Comedian one night, opera, vegas style show & dancers, karaoke, bingo +++ lots more games. More food than you can even think of eating. Truly unreal!! Never imagined to have the experience we had. Carnival goes out of their way to pamper you.

We are already planning on another cruise for next spring break and a lot of people have told us about how fun & exciting it is to try the different cruise lines & such, but I simply cannot imagine not doing carnival.

Also, the rates in my opinion, cannot be beat. It was just the most amazing vacation ever and ALL of our future vacations will be cruises. It's just like your off, secluded and it's so peaceful. To take a deep breath and look out over the ocean and feel the breeze is so calming and truly satisfying.
I hated to leave that. If you have a chance "cruise"!
