Itinerary:
The embarkation went very smoothly and we promptly went to our room washed our hands and went to the Lido deck for lunch. We sat with another couple and relaxed in the sunshine. After lunch we toured the ship and became acquainted with the floors, dining rooms, etc.
From that time on, we were very impressed with the dining room, rooms (very ample in size) and the staff in general. We were glad we requested a ocean view room and found the beds very comfortable. We were a little disturbed with the level we were on as it seemed we were too close to the engine and was noisy at night.
The waiter, Nick in the Spirit dining room was excellent. We received excellent service and the food was very good as well. We had lobster, prime rib and escargot. We ate in the dining room, breakfast, lunch, and dinner and did not eat in the lido deck, it was a buffet and we are not buffet people.
The 24 hour pizza shop was excellent, the best pizza I have ever eaten. We both enjoyed it.
The ports of Key West and Cozumel were nice, my husband is a diver and got to dive in Cozumel. He said it was what he has always dreamed about and better than National Geographic.
The room steward was also great, we had an elephant and a bunny made out of towels in our room. The last night, my husband's sneakers were put up close to the bed standing on end with the backs facing outward, like someone was hiding under our beds.
We tipped our room steward and waiters extra, even after the tips were added to our Sign and Sail cards. They truly did an excellent job and we felt they deserved it. All the people we talked to did the same.
The Imagination was a great
ship, clean and very elegant. We enjoyed the food, the service and the entertainment. I also forgot
to mention the casino and the entertainment. We certainly did not have a lack of things to do. It
was great! I would recommend the cruise to anyone and we are already looking forward to next year's
cruise with Carnival.
