After reading some of the reviews here and other places on the internet we were a little concerned about making the decision to take the Imagination cruise.  However, now that we have returned, we are glad that we chose the Imagination.

This was our first cruise, so we had a lot to learn.  Waiting in line is something you have to adjust to, but after a while it seemed natural to be in a line.  Starting with embarkation you wind your way up to registration.  Though the process takes a little time, it is well organized.  Getting 2,000 people on board is no easy task, but it was efficiently handled.  Once on the ship our luggage was waiting for us at the entrance to our cabin.  We were on Riviera and chose ocean view.  The cabin was more spacious than we thought it would be and the bathroom was certainly adequate for us with shower, sink and toilet.

There were numerous elevators and staircases to get you from floor to floor.  It took some time to get accustomed to the layout of the ship.  Food was available around the clock in some form or another.  Buffets served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  There was a large salad bar on Lido deck that had just about anything you could imagine.     There was an ice cream machine and frozen yogurt machine in the same area.  24 hour pizza was available.  Lots of bars and night clubs for those who wanted to socialize.  One member of our party said that the hardest part was knowing that from the beginning you were not going to be able to do everything offered on the ship.  There were plans for all age groups.  Bingo, deck games, talent shows, and karaoke were available for the adults and kids had their own events.  The food was excellent in the main dining room.  On Lido deck, with the buffets, the food was tasty and abundant. Excursions are available and are so varied I will not elaborate here.

To summarize, I would recommend this trip to first time cruisers as the ship is not enormous, but big enough to give you space.  The variety of food will satisfy anyone.  You can join events or choose to keep to yourself.  You will find you have gained a great group of friend by the end of your voyage.  Enjoy!
