Great time! this was our first cruise and i went mostly on reviews and pricing, got a great rate for 2 cabins, traveled with my 4 kids and husband so for a family of 6 it was a great value as well. Everyone had a great time and the kids told me time and time again what a great job i did choosing this
as our late summer vacation. The kids are 5, 11, 13 and 16 while carnival has all sorts of camps for variouse age groups my kids did not attend because they were at the top of the age group so they just didnt want to seperate from each other and be the oldest in the catagory. there was still alot for them to do and keep busy. I was looking for clean and well maintained ship, good food ( keep the kids happy too), and fun for all of us....this hit the mark and the service which i wasnt as concerened about was fantastic too. the room steward knew us all by name, had everything and anything we requsted, the wait staff in the formal dinning area also went above and beyond to make you feel like a welcome quest on board. I lost a peice of luggage at the airport and the airline flew it to mexico for us and the cruise line sent someone to the airport in mexico to get it for us while we were out and about exploring. Again I just got the feeling they were willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have a great overall experience! will go again for sure. only downside was the pool, there was only 1 and it was 5 ft deep so no good for little ones and way too crowded, they did have 2 waterslides for the kids but no usable pool was a bit of a disappoinment, my kids spent alot of time in the hot tub because they had no choice. we went from the waterslide to the hot tub and back to the hot tub. I thought the set up was a little odd, waterslides have a wow factor but at the expense of a second pool?
Carnival might want to rethink that one and I may choose another ship next time but then again maybe not cuz everything else was PERFECT!

great variety, something always open, sit down dinners had a good variety ,pizza, fresh deli sandwich station, burgers hot dogs, chicken tenders mac n cheese, breakfast, lunch and dinner, great variety and alot of good stuff

we loved our staeroom, yes it was small but not that bad. CLEAN!!!, brightly lit, plenty of storage, comfy linens, and a nightlty turndown with clean rooms, replenished towels, dim lights and chocolates, fely great returning back when it was time to turn in. The staff is so hardworking

never bored, ping pong, mini golf, bingo, great music entertainers all different styles of music, comedians, musical style stage shows really nice not over the top but never bored and always something new to do the following day and or evening

not thrilled with the excursions, my husband did the Myan tour he loved it, it was 7 hrs so I thought a bit too long for the kids, i did the jeep tour for 4 it was so so , we just drove around and stopped at a few shopping araes and a little beach for an hour, i would have prefered more time at a beach but the cost of the beach excursion was a little pricey for 4 people it was all inclusive and I really didnt want to pay for an all inclusive day at a beach. Not impressed with the excursions at all. i got the feeling they tried to scare you into doing an excursion for safety reasons which are probably real concerns considering the island but the choices didnt seem great or the prices were too high especially for a family of 6
