Being our first cruise, we were very excited! However- we were disappointed with a couple of things. The deck plan implied 4 pools. In reality, there was ONE small-medium sized pool, with 2 tiny hot tubs near by. There was an "adult only area" with about 25 chairs and 2 tiny hot tubs. Due to the fact people were "holding" chairs for others that were not around- we never could lay in the sun in this area. We had an oceanview stateroom, which was adequate. Other family members had a suite with a balcony- which was awesome. The food was plentiful and beautiful but mediocre in taste. The service was also mediocre. Because of the language barrier, the wait staff could not understand us and we could not understand them. We saw a comedy show that was great and a dance show that was good. The casino and disco area was the most fun. Our family choose to tour the Mayan ruins, which was relaxing and enjoyable. Our tour guide encouraged us to barter at the shops, which made it fun. Getting on and off the ship was a bit hectic. The passengers disregarded the overhead announcments and the crew did not enforce the plan.
