This was our first cruise on Carnival and we picked this particular ship as it was labelled the "Fun ship."
My husband and I were on our honeymoon.
My biggest complaint would be that there were so many children. The ship consisted of so many families with young children.
We never had the chance to soak in any of the hot tubs on deck as they were always filled with kids, even though there were signs posted "adults only."
We found the same situation with the on deck pools. They were always filled with screaming and splashing children.
We spent most of our days on board looking for a quiet spot to sunbath and read a book without having to listen to yelling and screaming kids.
On a positive note. The ship was immaculate. The cabin was roomy and I have to say the food served at dinner time was excellent.
We were the first ship to visit Grand Cayman since the hurricane and you could still see the blue tarps on top of some of the hotels and a lot of stores were still closed, but it was still a very beautiful spot.
Our favorite stop was Cozumel. We loved the snorkeling and shopping and the margueritas.
Comparing Carnival with other cruise lines I have been on. I would say their nightly activities were poor.
Other then their gambling casino, there weren't too many nightly activites to choose from other than bingo or karyoke.
I would not recommend this cruise for young people or childless couples.
