Itinerary: Western Caribbean
The embarkation went very smooth, from the time we
arrived at Dolphin parking lot 1, we were onboard in 45 minutes to hour. Went
throught the live boat drill, non-event. We departed from Galveston on time.
First Day: We were at sea, this was my wife and I first cruise ever,
celebrating our 9th year anniversary and we were having a ball from the get go.
Obvisously you could tell it was an older ship but for the price of the cruise,
you couldn't beat it. We enjoyed the food in the dining room the first night,
and after reading a review on this site, it assisted me in ordering several
entrees as they are kinda small, but that was ok since I had lobster and salmon
one evening and double entrees on several evenings. The head waiter didn't mind
at all that I was ordering several entrees for myself.
Second day: A full day at sea, my wife and I tooled around the ship to
get to know the lay of the land a little better. Gambled at the casino a little
while, very friendly dealers. As a matter of fact, everyone we ran into was very
friendly. BTW, another great meal in the dinning room.
Day three, four and five: We enjoyed ourselves every moment, met some very nice
people at our dining room table, everyone was on a special occasion which made
it nice.
Overall:
Cosmina, our cabin stewardess was awesome, a couple of bar waitresses Krasimira,
Eva, and Angela were the bomb. I can not say enough about these ladies, if I
wasn't already married.....well you know. They were great.
I've already booked a similiar cruise this December taking the kids along, I
would reccommend Carnival to everyone.....Happy Cruising...
