Carnival Paradise Cruise Review

Occupation: Pension/401(k) Accounting Manager
Number of Cruises: 4
Cruise Line: Carnival
Ship: Paradise
Sailing Date: May 16th, 2004
Itinerary: Western Caribbean

This was my fourth cruise but my first on Carnival and I absolutely loved it. The smoke free environment was wonderful and I am disapointed that Carnival is eliminating this option.

I wanted to address some of the comments about this ship that I have read on this site and others:

I found the food to be excellent and plentiful.Anyone who thinks that they are going to get gourmet food on a ship with 2000+ passengers is crazy...They should book a Crystal cruise at five times the price.

Embarkation and debarkation was a breeze...From the time we left the ship, gathered our luggage, cleared customs and were on the bus heading to the airport a sum total of 10-15 minutes had passed.

I have read that this is a boring ship and there is no nightlife - I don't know what cruise these people took but on my cruise the bars were hopping at night - there were people everywhere having a good time.

I really think for the price that this cruise is a very good value. If people would lighten up a little and not get upset about small problems I think they would enjoy their vacations more.
