At first the cruise was nice, until I realized that you have to pay for soft drinks. I have been on a ship before and never had to buy soft drinks and they were $2.00 a can. My niece got sick on the ship, she went into a sickle cell crises and I took her to medical to put her on IV fluids. Afterwards, the nurse then told me that thats a charge for that. $177.00! They would not take medical insurance, and the nurse stated that we are in international wasters after I stated that we are still in the USA America, well the world. And everyone in the world takes medicad and medicare. The nurse was very rude at that time, and kept insisting that I refused to pay. Later on that night, a man fell off the ship, and it took two hours to recover him, and Walt Disney cruise line had to come out to find the passenger because Carnival did not have the proper gear to find the passenger, the little boat they were tempting to put in the water kept sinking, the lights that they had on to locate the passenger were not bright enough. If it had not been for the other ship the passenger would have lost his life. I feel if that Carnival is all about the money, I asked the nurse what if my niece had to be carried off the ship on a gurney, she said they charge for that also and the ambulance. Those two incidences ruined my whole cruise. We could hear the man out at sea hollering for help, and the cruise line could not even retirieve him or find him with the lights.

I mainly ate from room service and the seaview buffet, that was the best. The dinning area food was not good, they dress the plates with decoration, to accomodate for the food. I could not eat the decorated food, mainly because it was cold and it took to long to get your food. If you like decorated food and cold and salads without meat, onions, tomatoes and salad dressing then this is the food for you.

My stateroom was nice, that was the best thing about my cruise. I had a balcony and my room attendant, Randall, was really there for me. Carnival needs more workers like that. If it wasn't for him I would not have gotten any services for my room. Well my room was not cleaned but one time because my friend stayed in the room a lot and when we did leave for hours at a time the room was still not cleaned but I am not complaing about that because that was my friends fault.

I guess the activities were alright, what little I was able to see. The music could have been a little better in the pool area.

Stay away from Carnival Sensation please, this is not the cruise for you, instead book Walt Disney, my coworker had just got back from Walt Disney cruise line and she loved it. I know that they have a working rescue boat and working bright enough lights to find a man overboard. I've seen that for my self. I am really not happy about Carnival Cruise Line, I will never spend my money on this ship ever again.

My experience with carnival was terrible! Just to get money from ATM was a $6.00 charge, I asked if I can transfer money from my credit debit card to sail away card and the answer was no. This has not been a good experience.
