the Sensation does the 3 and 4 day to the bahamas we did the new years cruise this year. The ship does a pretty good job on the party on the lido deck. Band was good and pretty much continuous. Carnival even gave out free champaign thru out the night. The state rooms have been redone and are better laid out . Service in the dining room was adequate however the rules concerning dress are getting lax ie people in shorts and t shirts at dinner. Which I think contributes to some declines in service and food. Since we have been to Nassau many times we do not use excusions, We did take the local bus out to Cable Beach and used resort facilites there and on the way back stopped at Arawak Cay for a late lunch of local sea food. The bus is 1.25 pp each way.

A problem on the short cruises is they use the same entertainment over and over one would think the entertainers could have more than one act to do over and over.
All this being said if you are a first time cruiser and need to get a feel for what cruising is like then a 3 or 4 day on the sensation gives you an idea of what to expect on future cruises I would recommend this for first timers

was ok and was surprized that they had lobster on a 3 night cruise. deserts were nothing special however if you want something that is not on the menu ask the waiter and you could be surprized the next night if it not available

State rooms have been redone but lack a hair dryer (absolutely needed by my wife) sufficent closet and cabinent room for clothes All room have robes which is a nice touch

Usual activities while on sea day used the Adults only area which is great (and it was enforced)

Nassau has many things that one can do on their own which is what we do. Atlantis has become an attraction but it is expensive to see the aquarium.

a typical three night cruise feels like it is over before it starts
