My husband and I booked this cruise with another couple. Overall we were EXTREMELY disappointed in the cruise. Room service was non existant, the food wasn't anything special -- except for the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake which is Hevan Sent! The entire staff seemed very shy and exhausted the whole cruise. We also found a few charges that we don't recall making, but we didn't try to resolve it. They did however, after the funds had already been released from my bank to Carnival, place a hold on my account for nearly $1,000 luckily it was removed within 2 days.

We crusied with Carnival last year on the Fantasy... it was AMAZING-- staff was plesant, food was outstanding, shows were VERY entertaining, great trip all together.

The food was decent, but it seemed like there wasn't much variety this time. It also seemed like everytime I went to the 24 hour pizza station there was a line of about 20 people, and they were constantly running out of food. At dinner, my order was wrong 2 out of 4 nights. In addition, each night we had to ask for bread, and wait a minimum of 20 minutes on starters, and then after everyone at our table was done with starters, another 10-15 on the main dish, and the same for dessert. It also seemed like the lines for the buffets at lunch were very slow moving-- maybe because they too kept running out of food.

Our stateroom was clean and nice, but the steward wasn't very friendly. He introduced himself the first day, and never spoke to us again until the morning we got off the ship. Room service also was awful. On multiple occasions, I called to get ice, and it took over 45 minutes for them to come, if they even came at all. After 45 minutes of waiting, I went down the hall and found someone else on the staff and asked them for ice. Same thing with ordering food and drinks through room service-- rediculous wait times-- if it even came at all-- and the food was always wrong, but you didn't want to complain because then it would just take that much longer for them to fix it. PITIFUL!

Because it was a short trip, we didn't do many onboard activities other than gambling. We did watch the comedy show, and a little kareoke, but neither was outstanding.

In Freeport we had signed up for the Blue Water Snorkling adventure-- about $55 each. Due to bad weather, it was canceled, and we found another excursion on the island. We ended up taking a taxi to Paradise Cove for $16 each, and then renting snorkle gear for $15. We saved almost $50. It was so much fun, and relaxing as well... it wasn't very crowded at all!

In Nassau, we rented mopeds -- which was VERY nerve racking-- they drive on the opposite side of the road.... the public beach by the Atlantis was very nice and they offered jet ski rental, banana boat rides, etc.... but pack a lunch if you can... that was very expensive $4.00 for a hot dog and $3 for a 16 oz bottle of Coke :(
