If you're looking for an upscale cruise experience, the Sensation 4-day to Nassau is NOT it. The service staff was fairly friendly, the cabins were as expected - but overall, tacky tacky tacky. The plastic trees around the one very small swimming pool and a deck that wasn't washed once the entire trip gives the first impression. The purple decor, horrible food, and dozens of unsupervised children (probably not enough interesting things for them to do), tells the rest. The fitness center has old equipment, but high end Life Fitness, so it gets a grade of a B - but the rest completely failed. The comedy entertainment was corny, the casino was just a casino, and the live music was less than average. The hallways had the horrible bathroom stench - I guess meaning that the boat design doesn't do a very good job of ventilating. The water coming out of the bathroom faucet was brown. The room seemed clean (but there were large accumulations of dust in creviices). The TV in the room couldn't be viewed unless you were sitting at a certain height directly in front of it - poor resolution made everything look like negative images. We made the best of it - but we will NEVER do this cruise again.

Awful, Awful, Awful. The breakfast potatoes were cold and hard, the bacon tasted like stale bread, the pastries were cold and hard, all of the tables were not wiped after each group of guests ate, the oranges were mushy (as if previously frozen), the fried chicken tasted like wood, the shrimp cocktail was bland, my husband ordered steak for dinner twice (one prime rib and one skirt steak - both were inedible due to being severely over cooked, the salad lettuce leaves were limp and brown, the croutons were store bought and stale. On the plus side, the pizza and deli sandwiches were pretty good; and they also had an Asian noodle/Mongolian barbeque kind of thing that was fairly tasty. But - do not go on this ship for the food. It's overall very gross. The hotdogs tasted like sour milk, the hot dog buns were stale, the lasagne looked good, but when we ate it it was not seasoned well (just a lot of salt and nothing else). Speaking of seasonings - everything was BLAND. Horrible food experience.

We had a balcony room - how can you go wrong. The balcony was fine (except didn't appear to have been swept or mopped in years). The balcony chairs were comfortable, it felt private, and the views were incredible. The bathroom/showere were as expected; plenty of closet space; very limited drawer space; the bed was OK; the TV was basically unviewable unless sitting directly in front of it. Heavy accumulation of dust in corners of headboard and other furniture.

Boring, Boring, Boring. The comedy shows were corny, the deck party was OK, the live entertainment was not very talented.

We did the island tour, which included some historic sites, The Atlantis resort, and some shopping. It took about 2.5 hours - and then we spent the rest of the afternoon in Senor Frogs. It was a fun day. I overheard others talking about their beach excursions and glass bottom boat tours, everyone seemed pleased.

Overall it was fun because of the people we were with - but it was not
