My g/f and I consider the Carnival Sensation to be our "home" ship. This past cruise was our 6th on the Sensation. We live near Port Canaveral and are able to cruise quite often, 4-6x per year. Things have changed a bit on the Sensation since our first cruise on her (Oct '07) and not all for the better. Overall we love the Sensation and her crew. We have always received above-average service and the food is good; not spectacular, but good. We

Overall: good to very good. We prefer the dining roon to the buffet restaurant. We enjoy dressing up and having a good meal served to us. The lobster and shrimp dinner on formal night was excellent as was the service in the Fantasy dining room. The food in the Seaview Bar & Grill is good, but we don't like the hassle of buffet-style dining. However, we do have our first day lunch there. And it is good place to get a quick snack, but not during prime dining hours. I seem to always wander in there once or twice a day for a self-serve, soft ice cream cone - yummy!

Very clean and well-maintained - we left an extra tip for our stateroom attendant!

We generally do our own thing. The comedians were absolutely hilarious this trip! We spent an hour each day in the gym. The shows were not bad - not Vegas quality either.

We have now been to Nassau so many times that we plan a self-guided walking tour each trip. The past two cruises we have seen all the forts there and have visited Ardastra Gradens twice. Go see the Flamingos! We may go to Atlantis to play some golf next time.

We always have a great time, even if we have to entertain ourselves. One change Carnival has made on he Sesation the we do not like is that they replaced the Rock & Roll band with another act. We used to love dancing in the Michelangelo Lounge until 2 AM every night, but now they have karaoke - yuch! Oh well...
