Sensation Cruise number 7: "Wow what a great time! We also called this a "recovery cruise", I had eye surgery and my friend had some teeth pulled, right before we cruised (NOTHING will stop us from cruising). We found a few new friends by logging on to the Carnival site forums. Hello to Paracruiser and Sneakerjunkies! This was my 7th cruise and I was with my best and crazy friend, it was her 4th (3rd with me). This was my 3rd time on the Sensation, 2nd time for my friend on the Sensation and 1st time since it was renovated! We cruise every year without the "baggage" (husbands and children).

Overall, the ship was great (loved the rehab), we loved the piano in the Touch of Class lounge (photos were taken on the piano), Social host Lewis (such a sweet guy) and Megan a photographer on her first contract. The whole cruise was SMOOTH as glass. Not a bump or a ripple that was felt. The shows were great as usual. The comedy show was hilarious. Kim Harrison was the best. Ronnie Bullard was ok. we didn't go and see his comedy show. They both did a short show one night and then had individual shows. We had an excellent room steward (E1) who kept our room neat and tidy and made a towel animal every night.

We had a porthole cabin E 1 which we have had several times and we love the location...Empress deck...easy on and easy off and one deck down from where all the action is at. We found our cabin and parked our suitcases inside and took some photos in the window seat of the porthole window. We discovered our porthole cabin window was going to be the focal point of our trip. Every time we got dressed we would climb in the window and take our self portrait picture! So every morning and every evening we would set the self timer and take our picture. What fun that was!

Onboard activities we have done several times before and each time we do them again as if we never had. We love the shows, bingo, and comedians. We even love the silly shows (we do like to earn our "medal" on each cruise).

We didn't do an organized excursion this trip, we went to the Atlantis by cab and wandered around there and played in the casino. We went to Senor Frogs and the Straw Market to look around and buy a few things.

Day 1: Boarding was SMOOTH! We were in the 10th wave to board, but it was swift on the ship (we were there about 40 minutes). We also took our boarding photo on the Lido deck for lunch! Found our table and atel We connected with Sneakerjunkies, where she came over to meet us. It's so nice to see the face you have been talking to for months! Toured the ship, took some photos, and did the lifeboat drill (mandatory) then we found our seats for the welcome aboard dancing party for the sail away. While waiting we found an old friend, Lewis. He was on board our last ship, Fantasy, as a social host, and here he was again entertaining us for the sail away party. He did remember us. We had a blast last year too and we loved seeing a familiar face. We had early dining and sat at table 222. We were at a table for 7. An older couple Lew, Barb (husband and wife), Audrey (Barb's mom), Catherine, Rosanne (best friends) and Catherine and I (also best friends). Lew entertained us with his stories from when he was a NY transit cop. Audrey was having a good time on her 1st cruise. We connected with Catherine and Rosanne watched the shows with them (on a few nights). Met Paracruiser at the show, she found us, because I always told her we sit in the front row so we can hoot and holler. She was really nice too! So we met our new friends and we were barely out to sea! How lucky can you get?

Day 2: Freeport, Bahamas. Went to the gym at 6 am and worked out for 30 minutes. Dressed and ate breakfast. We didn't do much here. We took a cab to the beach where we visited the casino and deposited more money to visit with my other money that was already there. Went to the beach (I did go for a short swim, even though the water was cool) and took more photos. We shopped a little bit and then headed back to the ship where we went to the Serenity Deck (just below the Lido deck, it is for adults only) went to the Jacuzzi and soaked in that for awhile. Went down and took a nap before dinner. We took our picture for dinner in the window¦ Yes, we also took a picture in the window before we went to the beach! Since it was formal night we did dress up. Went and took a few photos at the photo stations. We do like to have a photo taken! Watched the show and went dancing in the disco.

Day 3: Nassau, Bahamas. Worked out again at 6 am and then ate breakfast. We decided to take a taxi to Atlantis on our own (we did the tour last time) and took our photos in the King chair and put a few dollars into the casino there. Took another cab to Senor Frogs/Straw Market, just down the road from the port area. Bought my t-shirts for a friend and then went shopping in the straw market for another friend who wanted a wallet. Wandered around for a little bit and then went back to the ship to eat lunch and rest before dinner.

Day 4: Sea day. We woke up to leaving Nassau. We didn't work out this morning since we danced so much the night before at the midnight buffet. We didn't do much on the sea day. I did go down the BIG tube slide TWICE and down the little slide twice. Pictures were taken of this since it was the first time I did it! I would have done the tube side more but there were A LOT of steps to the top and I have bad knees LOL. We took another nap and rested before dinner (yes, pictures were taken in the window in the morning and again that evening). Then after dinner watched the show, Curves.

Day 5: Leaving the ship took our LAST photo in the porthole window so sorry to leave the ship, but we have plans to go again next year. Maybe the Paradise.
