My two sons, 19 & 21, one of their girlfriends, age 23, and myself went on the Carnival Sensation out of Port Canaveral, Florida, last Thursday, July 18, for a 3 night Bahamas cruise to Nassau. It was a pretty good cruise but was definitely geared for younger children or teens. The main thing that we really liked about our cruise was our cabin. Since we were all four staying in the same cabin, we were able to get a suite with a large extended balcony.....both the room & the balcony were great but I'm very glad that we had an extended balcony!! I would never want to take a cruise without that awesome feature!!

I paid extra for the "fast to the fun" & that was worth every dime spent!! We were considered "priority" when embarking the ship, we didn't have to wait in the long lines at guest services & there were many more things that "fast to the fun" enabled us to do without having to wait.

The food was okay. Breakfast was the best meal of the day to us & our main dinner wasn't as great as I had expected it to be!!

Everything we could have wished for and more!!! I can never imagine going down to a smaller room than what we had.......a suite with an extended balcony......the beds were super comfortable, easily slept 4 people, had a large bathroom with a shower & whirlpool tub, a large vanity & plenty of cabinet space. Also, our closet was very nice.....had plenty of shelves, various sizes of hanging cubicles, room for all shoes & a nice-size safe!!

There didn't seem like there were many things to do except shop in the 3 very small stores that were on the sensation. We spent the majority of our time at the casino, which was okay. The staff in the casino couldn't have been so much nicer than they were to us. Every other carnival crew member went out of their way to make us feel so welcomed!!

Our next cruise will be on a different ship......one that's a little easier to get around without getting lost constantly & one who's décor is a little more up-to-date & not so dark with ugly colors. Also, we will definitely choose a cruise ship that has a larger pool & pool area. The one small pool on the sensation was always crowded!! There is definitely a need for at least one more pool if not two more. If you're looking for a short cruise at a cheap price, this one's for you! I would definitely save my money & take a cruise on a fancier boat that's a little more up to date.

We took the 3 night Bahamas cruise & since we're from Georgia, Port Canaveral seemed to be our best option at the time. The main reason for our trip was so that I could spend some much-needed quality time with my sons & that time was great!!

Our entire family is thinking about taking a cruise around Christmas this year & I think we will probably look into a Royal Caribbean cruise or another Carnival ship that's nicer than the sensation.
