First let me say that this was the first cruise for my wife and me. The ship was Fantastic!! The weather was terrible. We stayed about two days ahead of Hurricane Michelle so we had lots of rain and high seas. When we arrived in Jamaica, the power was out on the whole island. We went to Georgetown and fought the rain. We had about two hours of sunshine but not enough to do a lot outdoors. All of the excursions that we had planned were cancelled due to the weather so we shopped. At Georgetown we did take a taxi tour around the island. Don't settle for the drivers quote. There were people that paid $20.00 per person for the tour, others $15. I offered $20 for both of us and he accepted. Every price, everywhere is negotiable. We didn't get to go to Cozumel because of the weather so they took us on to Key West. Weather was good but had a few showers. They took us to Nassau to make up for the Cozumel miss. Weather there was overcast but nice. Went to Blackbeard's Cay excursion. A private island where there was nothing to do except lay on the beach. Wouldn't do it again. About the ship. I couldn't imagine anything better. Stateroom was roomy and nice (get outside cabin). Stewards were fantastic cleaning room and filling ice at least twice per day. Beds turned down while we were at dinner. Mints on pillows and daily newsletter left on bed announcing next days agenda (no noisy announcements over PA). Plenty of closet space and bathroom very comfortable. Room service was quick and excellent. Our Cabin Steward Victor was great. We never wanted for anything. Dining was 5 star in the main dining room. Could not have been better. Our waiter, Frankie, was the best waiter that I have ever seen. Excellent service, great sense of humor and entertaining. Very professional. The food was great. Plenty, cooked perfect and all you want. Don't be afraid to ask for a second entree or main course. They will also fix items not found on the menu. If you want shrimp cocktail every night, just ask and they will get it for you. There were buffets and other food items available around the ship most all of the time. More relaxed and informal. Still great. Room service 24/7 so you won't go hungry. (I gained 8 pounds) Entertainment was Las Vegas style. The shows were great and large productions. Don't skip any. I'm not a fan of karaoke but we had a great time watching. We had a costume party on Halloween which was neat. Don't miss the casino. A bunch of money spent and a bunch won. Michael's Cigar Bar was a great place to fire up those Cubans that you by on shore. Neat stores on the ship with pretty good prices. All in all, a very eloquent ship. I am spoiled and we are already planning another cruise. Staff was excellent. Service, dining, entertainment and facilities were all excellent. Top of the line. I would recommend this ship to anyone. Beautiful vacation palace. If the weather would have been better I would say it would have been the perfect vacation. Can't control Mother Nature though. 5 Stars on everything. Great sailing to all.
