First the positives. The food quality was excellent as was the service in every
department of the ship. The entertainment in the theatre was great. The whole
cruise was a very good with just a couple exceptions. The common areas of the
ship are very worn and not appealing at all. They are clean enough but the
furniture is worn out, the cushions sag and it looks quite bad. The tender
service is a nightmare, they use their own lifeboats instead of hiring local
tenders. We had at least a 2 hour wait for a tender in Grand Cayman. One of the
employees told us that it is like that every time they tender. The entertainment
in the lounges was not that great. The performers can not speak decent English
so it was very hard to understand them. We were told that it would be the end of
2006 before she gets refurbished, if this is the case she will be really rough
by then. This is our second cruise on the Century in 2 years and I will probably
book one of their newer ships for our next cruise. Like I said in the beginning
the service and food quality was great, but when you book a premium cruise line
and pay premium prices you expect everything to be top notch.
