This was not my first cruise and after sailing on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Holland America, I wasn't sure what to expect from Celebrity.  I did enjoy my cruise. However, it was not at all as advertised in the cruise brochures.  The brochures paint a picture of cultured elegance throughout the ship and amongst the passengers themselves.  This was not exactly true.  As I was traveling during summer vacation, there were kids galore.  I say this because I never got a good nights sleep due to unsupervised preteens running up and down the halls banging on doors.  One particular group of 12-14 year olds shared the stateroom next to mine while their parent's rooms were on a different deck.  I finally complained to one set of parents when they "visited" their children on the third morning.  Their promise to end the all night never came true and they quickly disappeared whenever they saw me.  Needless to say, the kids got worse as the cruise wore on.  I complained to the staff who basically ignored me. The rest of the cruise was fine.  I really enjoyed  my great waitstaff at meals and my cabin boy kept my cabin spick and span. I have no complaints about the service, they did an excellent job, except of course, controlling the children on board. The meals were ok buy not up to par with Royal Caribbean or Holland America.  This surprised me because I recently heard that Royal Caribbean and Celebrity were owned by the same company.  One great thing about this cruise is it does not have the annoyingly loud speaker announcements but does offer the daily activity information sheets to satisfy every taste.  Upon leaving port, you get a breathtaking veiw of New York harbor and the Statue of Liberty.  Also, arriving into St. George is charming and wonderful as cannon shots are fired to welcome the ship and passengers into the harbor.  Bermuda is such a warm and friendly place.  Everyone should visit at least once in their life.  The only drawback is the summer heat, which is overbearing at times, but still the island is well worth the trip.  The ports in Bermuda, St. George and Hamilton, are lovely and give two different flavors of the island.  Be sure to take an island tour as this is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and should be seen and experienced.  A cruise is a nice way to go, especially with hotel and food being outrageously expensive!!! I will be glad to answer any questions.
