Mercury Cruise Review

Sandra

Age: 50's
Occupation: Business owner
Number of Cruises: 3
Cruise Line: Celebrity
Ship: Mercury
Sailing Date: December 6th, 2004
Itinerary: Mexican Riviera

The Mercury is a beautiful ship. The public areas are clean and in good condition.

The service was outstanding, superior in every way. Every crew member we came in contact with was cheerful and helpful.

The food was excellent to superior in quality.

Our only disappointment was in the accommodations. We had reserved a Sky Suite
# 1222 on the Sky Deck. We had constant problems with shower and toilet drainage. and in fact you could smell raw sewage at times in the hall way. There was extensive mold in the shower. Our patio door curtains were dirty and torn and the patio door handle broke.

It obvious that our cabin needed more detail cleaning than our cabin attendant Veronica had time to do.

We believe that the Mercury needs to be brought in for some detail cleaning and upgrading...especially in the cabins.

Anyway...would we book a Celebrity cruise again? Despite the problems YES, because the service is so outstanding. We want to give Celebrity another chance. We booked a Panama Canal cruise on a larger ship, the Summit.
