This sailing was a little different as this was chartered by Sixthman and Turner Classic Movies for a film festival at sea. Embarkation went well enough, arrived at port of Miami around 2:00pm and most had already boarded ship so wait wasn't long. Ship sailed punctually at 4:30pm with a sail away party on pool deck with Robert Osborne of TCM. Entertainment was at a premium with a big band, hitchcock films, and movie stars Tippi Hedren, Eva Marie Saint, and Ernest Borgnine (and it reflected in our tariff) as a window cabin, off season, 4 day cruise was at $1,250 P/P, but hey, this was a whole new concept, and geared to people who love classic films.

OK, here's my negative slant. this is my 7th cruise with Celebrity and the food has taken a nose dive! And I think this is putting it mildly. First night at dinner we had a warm ceaser salad that had been left out it seemed. Escargot I couldn't eat, and I had prime rib that tasted like a bad cut,( not grade A! ) Desert no better. So much for the main dining room. Later that next morning early the salad or something I ate got me very ill and I'll leave it at that!!! The food at the buffet on the top deck wasn't much better, one day they had fish cakes! I think back in school we called them fish sticks, but those were better! The best to eat seemed to be pasta bar, pizza, hamburgers and the sushi wasn't bad. We ate from then on in the Olympic restaurant at 40.00 P/P and it wasn't that good to me, even when I had lobster thermador, and this is supposed to be the BEST restaurant onboard. Breakfast was descent though, but it's pretty hard to mess up on that. This is a shame because Celebrity used to have the BEST food at see, other than Cunard, so it was a rude awakening and major disappointment.

Stateroom fne, we found it clean. Our steward left plenty of towels for us and knew to knock not too early as one of us was a late sleeper. He was worth the tip.

Like I said this were handled by Sixthman and TCM and they were great!

We didn't do excursion but just went off "on our own". If you do this in Cozumel, and you like to snorkel, go to the state park, maybe 5.00 usd in a cab. Very nice place and secure.

We enjoyed the cruise but I've got to be honest, Celebrity has gone downhill a few notches.
