We completed the April 21-29 cruise aboard the Millie and had a nice balcony room. Most of the good reviews that I have read are true about the Millie; however, the very best or excellent reviews must come from smokers. If you have allergies or are a non-smoker this is NOT the ship for you. I really wish that I had known. Perhaps it is a new policy because none of the reviews nor the poll questions that rate ships have a smoking question. I did find one review just before we left for the cruise and too late to change that said "you might not like this ship if you have allergies". Since it did not say why, there was no way to know that smoking was the problem. I sure wish that I had known. This ship actually promotes smoking by actively selling cigars and cigarettes every day and having no clear non-smoking policy. These sales are in huge print in the daily newspaper each day and they have a cigar bar on board. All the public areas, with the only exceptions of the theatre and dining room, were full of smoke. It is also necessary to walk through several of them to get to the theatre or dinning room so smoke is unavoidable. I really wanted to try the Martini bar and that was impossible since it was always in a smoke cloud. We could not even enjoy our balcony most evening since three rooms down someone smoked a cigar out on theirs and the smoke blew onto our balcony. Yes, I can hear you smokers saying that you have rights and that is why I am writing this so the non-smokers will just choose another ship. The first day there was an announcement that all smokers were kindly asked to only smoke on the port side of the ship but it was not enforced so it did not work. Many people on board were unhappy about that but nothing was done. We saw all the various entertainment as it was our only refuge from the smoke each night. The entertainment was wonderful. We enjoyed it all. The theatre is beautiful and was never crowded.
