Great cruise, the ship was great, the food fabulous. I traveled with my two sisters whom had never cruised before - now there will be two new converts.
We flew into Fort Lauderdale with Air Canada - and took a cab to the Pier $12.00 Canadian - great deal. The check in was speedy - I am A Captain's Club member - however there were no line-ups as we arrived at 1:00 Pm.
We immediately proceeded to the dining room to request a late seating - no problem we were seated at a table for 10. The location of the table was not good, by a window - but the good tables were in the middle of the Dining room with high ceilings - however our dinner companions were terrific. We sat with one newly wed couple, another young couple and a family of two sisters & their Mom. We looked forward to dining every evening as the company was so enjoyable.
We didn't do any excursions - we shopped in Key West, Calica - waste of a stop if you don't go any excursions. Cozumel - the weather was rainy - we shopped - the best bargains were the shops by the pier - in town everything was overpriced. I bargained for some ornamental fish - which were a much better price in Canada at Pier One -
At Grand Cayman we took a cab to the beach (14 mile beach) it was lovely $3.00 u.s. each plus $2.00 each to get on the beach - where you have access to all the hotel beaches.
We booked the fancy restaurant - but cancelled the day before as we had eaten so well in the regular dining room - and didn't want to spend 3 hours being pampered - as all three of us are constantly eating at fancy restaurants back home.
The choices of meals and dining locations are numerous - the best ever.
I would highly recommend this ship - no crowds - the average age of the cruisers was 40 - quite a good mix - with younger and very few over 65 years. The entertainment was very good - we didn't attend all the shows because our cabin had a balcony and we enjoyed sitting out and reading and drinking wine and eating cheese.
Great - Great holiday.
