Itinerary: Western Caribbean
Just returned from Costa Atlantica cruise to the Western Caribbean. This was our first cruise and for sure we will be going on many more. The Costa Atlantica was the best. There is absolutely nothing negative I have to say about the whole experience. The food was wonderful. Many choices and each one better than the other. The dining room was amazing. Our waiter Rolando, and the bus boy Jose were the best. Rolando made many selections for us at diner, and everything he picked was wonderful. Rolando was so efficient and friendly and we were anxious to go to dinner each evening because he made us feel very special. We went to all the midnight buffets and we met a young assistant waiter called Teddy. He made sure we got the best of service and greeted us each evening with a big smile and welcome and again made us feel very special. Our housekeeping staff were also wonderful. Ronnie looked after our cabin with such efficiency. Our room was always perfect, the towels were replaced as soon we used him. He seemed to always be aware of our needs before even we were. The entertainment each night was better than the night before.
The entertainers are soooooo talented and professional. We attended the games every night in the madam butterfly lounge. These young people are so enthusiastic and worked very hard to keep us entertained. One young gentleman - Michael - was just the best. He was the life of the party, and he made us all feel extra special. The photographers were very patient and captured us in the best way possible. They were very efficient, but did not rush us in any way. They took their time with each of us, trying to get the best pictures possible. Unfortunately we were unable to dock in Key West, but we did not feel that we had missed too much, but the ship's staff kept us entertained the whole day. We did not take a tour in Cozumel, but spent the time just looking around and shopping. We took the Dunn's River/Bristol Plantation tour and were impressed with the tour guides. You should not miss the Dunn's River tour. We took the city tour and stingray tour in Grand Cayman, and had the best tour guide "Peter".
We really enjoyed the announcements in the various languages, it made us feel like we were in a different country and added another feature to our tour.
Costa should be very proud of this cruise - the ship, the staff, the food and the entertainment could not have been better.
