Age: 64
Occupation: Paralegal
Number of Cruises: 20 +
Cruise Line: Costa
Ship: Atlantica
Sailing Date: December 26th, 2004
Itinerary: Eastern Caribbean
Italian Style …is not American Style.
Embarkation:
The most disorganized event of my adult life. .Cattle trains in the old west did
a better job
The Ship
Beautiful to the eye. But do not look to close because you will see things that
are in need of cleaning, repair or replacement.
The Crew
Very nice people that want to help as much as possible….if they could understand
you.
The Cabin 6702
Very nice and roomy, well kept comfortable.
Dinning:
The 9th Floor buffet was on a par with most ships in this class.
The Dinning room itself was sub par
Casino:
Cleary understaffed and the dealers all where from Romania, this is ok if you
plan to play 21/blackjack all the time. If on the other hand you play craps or
roulette then bring you calculator because American Math and Romanian Math does
not match up.
Ports of Call
Same old places with some facelifts
Disembarkation:
This made the embarkation look organized.
First they bring you back to a pier other then the one you left from and no pre
sailing notice of this.
Summary
Cruising as we once knew it is over. There is no incentive to do a better job
then the other guy because they all work for the same guy.
The personal service (for better tips) is even gone.
Although I enjoy the bigger casino, I guess I have no choice but to go on Luxury
class only
