I have been on the Costa Atlantica and Costa Victoria, prior to this sailing on the Mediterranea, and I knew that Costa would not disappoint, in spite of what you might have read in other reviews. My experience on board this ship exceeded all my expectations for food quality, service, activities (both teens, kids and adult), entertainment, and ship décor. The ship was absolutely beautiful and spotless. I can understand why Costa just received a perfect score (100%) on an unannounced visit by the Center of Disease Control. The embarkation and disembarkation process was efficient and easy. My family ranging in age from 12 to 18 had a terrific time, and we would not hesitate to go an another Costa sailing.

I have read some very positive reviews about the Mediterranea, as well as some negative reviews. In my opinion, some people just like to complain about insignificant, petty things, and this is the way they must live their life. The negative reviews I have read about this ship are completely unfounded. Attitude is everything and life is what you make it. Some people just don’t know how to relax and roll with the punches. Some of these reviews relate to lost luggage or delayed flights which were not even Costa’s fault. They were mad before they ever got on board and were just seeking to find fault with the staff, activities, and food. No cruise is ever perfect, but the experience is what you make it. Once you get on board, just sit back, relax, enjoy being with your loved ones, and take in all the beautiful detail that has gone into making this ship a floating museum and a fun place to vacation. The staff is extremely friendly. If you’re also gracious, cordial, and have a positive outlook on life, your experience will be exemplary like mine was. Don’t hesitate to experience this ship – you won’t be disappointed!
