In a word, DIre!! Diabolical service, chaotic organisation, indifferent staff, surly crew, and even basic food stuffs shortages. This a cruise ship to be avoided.

Poor menus, food badly cooked and presented combined with overworked waiters meant that dining was a very poor experience. A cruise line that runs out of salads, butter and offers stale apples as the only fresh fruit should be reviewing the ordering process as a matter of some urgency.. Passengers do have a right to expect reasonable levels of catering.

Shabby and dull, with a grubby bathroom shower curtain and soap as the only toiltry offered, unless room service was contacted for meagre bottles of shampoo.

Bizarre entertainment, and infantile holiday camp games presented as daytime activities. the Activities organisers were amateurish, bellowing out commands.

Do not miss Komodo, but you can buy your own entry ticket and hire your own guide. Kuala Lumpur is an amazing "do-not miss" city, and is better reached by a shared cab as you can see what you want , without the "shopping stop" Most of the ports were tender, which meant tickets, issued in chaotic free for alls.

Undoubtedly the worst cruise we have ever been on, offering exceedingly poor value. Costa clearly tbelieves that passengers have no levels of discertment, and can be fobbed off with a take it or leave it attitude. None of the promises of the brochure hype is delivered.
