CostaVictoria Cruise Review

Number of Cruises: 22
Cruise Line: Costa
Ship: Victoria
Sailing Date: April 8th, 2001
Itinerary: Eastern Caribbean

Very disappointed.  This ship was sorely in need of refurbishing. If you love Italian food you will enjoy the dining experience, otherwise you will be disappointed.  the dining room opened its doors at 8:45 for late dining and most of the waiters had a problem with English, therefore if you were lucky you received your food at 9:30 and you missed the shows.  on the plus side the staff was incredibly nice and helpful and helped make this a fun cruise.  the embarkation was deplorable and we waited about an hour or more until we were able to board the ship.  disembarkation was much better.  if you are a non-smoker DON'T take this cruise. the ship is filled with about 60% Europeans and they all smoke.  it is hard to find a spot that is not smoking other than the dining room.  we would not consider another Costa cruise in the near future.
