Unfortunately we booked an "unobstructed" room and ended up in a very obstructed view with crackled glass overlooking a 3ft solid wall and stairway at the bow of the ship...we were told no rooms were available to change..there was a high majority of Euopean cruisers and very few American/English speakers. The embarkation/debarkation process was great, along with the excursions... shows were subpar, acitivities minimal..ports of call were quite fine, esp Marseilles, Genoa and Palma de Mallorca.. We did not know this particular criuse would be full of "cruise for free" children. Also dress code! anything goes... some people adhered to the dinner dress code but it was sad to see people roaming in an hour late in cut offs and uncaring!

Above average, but room service, left us "cold"..that is to say, the choices for 24 hr room service were cold items only... bread (not toasted) cereal, rolls... nothing more, nothing less. A kudos to our maitre de who worked with me to ensure my food issues were taken care of! Did appreciate the "wine package"

We stayed in cabine 6205, at the brow of the ship, huge amazing bathroom but unobstructed view was anything but! Our room attendant was great and always made sure our room was cleaned with fresh towels..no more free soap/shampoo, etc...you must ask for!

Sadly, a dissapointment due to huge congromeration of Europeans and children...totally unexpected..we had taken a Costa cruise in the Caribbean a couple years ago and were quite happy....but as Americans we were defintely in the distinct minority in Europe and felt "left out" more than not.
