This was our very first cruising experience and we are sold on cruising duie to our incredible experience. I had done my homework and reviewed this cruise ship and cruise line before leaving so had no surprises except that it exceeded our expectations!!! THe cruise ship is excessively clean, the crew incredibly accomodating - there is nothing they wouldn't do for you and the food in the dining room just amazing! WE didn't even need to visit the speciality restaurants as the dining room food is fantastic. The Windjammer breafast buffet is even better than the dining room breakfast food. The lunch buffet is OK for lunch - typical abundance but not super quality food but as I said very passable for lunch.

Dining room food fantastic. Windjammer lunch buffet is very passable. Their breakfast buffet very good.

We chose a balcony and would not do without it! We were in cabin 9574 and it was surprisinly spacious although the bathroom quite small. Shower space though very sufficient.

Onboard activities abundant - we took in as many shows as possible pre and post dinner. We didn't have enough time to do all the activities. Attemded the wine tasting event but do not recommend it.

We didn't book any excursions with the cruise line as I found them way too expensive. I knew where and what I wanted to see and got a taxi at the different ports. This was alot cheaper than the prices on the cruiseship. Don't miss snorkling at the Champagne Beach in Dominica - super warm waters although very rocky beach but beautiful. A must in Curacao is the Puerto Maria Beach. This is a private beach (costs $2.00 p/ person to enter and $3.00 p/person to rent a chair on the beach. The beach is absolutely spectacular! Take the local bus in Aruba for $1.50 p/person and go to the beach. We went to Palm beach but any beach is great in Aruba.

We flew into Puerto Rico as the itinerary was better and we had a choice of more islands. Highly recommend doing this. Cruising from Florida had more days at sea and less exotic islands. Curacao was my preferred island and St.Thomas my least preferred - really nothing to do unless you want to shop for diamonds. Every shop sells diamonds and it is very commercial. Curaco is indeed the cheapest if you plan to buy stuff. Their clothing shops sell alot of linen and I regret not buying there. Pack running shoes for the island of Dominica as it is a rain forest and you really cannot climb unless you have proper foot attire.
