In short, the entire experience on board was wonderful. From the servers to the
stateroom attendants, every need was met. Castaway Cay was decent, but stay away
from the shop. Buying on board is your best bet.
Nassau: In a word, filthy. It smelled bad and the streets were absolutely a
disaster. They were in poor repair and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in
years. You would fare well to stay on board ship as Nassau is a major tourist
rip-off.
Tipping: The on-board service was exceptional although the suggested tipping
guidelines are a bit much because it is expected per person per day. That's
almost $300 for the 3-day cruise. You don't pay that much even in some luxury
resorts or restaurants. Don't feel guilty at all if you only pay the suggested
amount one time at the end of the cruise.
Food: Except for the tasteless and cold last morning breakfast, the food was
delicious. Except for alcohol or the Palo dining, everything was free. If you go
hungry, that is entirely your fault. A word to the wise; bring the Pepto! You
will eat enough to justify it.
I will be taking another Disney cruise soon. It was worth the expense just to
see my family have so much fun.
