We had a great time on our first cruise. We went on the Dolphin Encounter and it was great also. I read lots of books and read lots of reviews so I had hight expectations. Big mistake. Just go, have fun and hope for the best.

The food was pretty good. I like seafood so I was set. They had vegetarian options also. Lots of fruit.

Our stateroom was clean, but we found the previous cruisers day pack under our bed full of money, I.D., key card, etc. (yes we gave it to guest services.:). The tub was very slippery and our stateroom hostess brought us a rubber mat. Ask for one. There is a light in the closet, there is an on/off button on the light. Use it as a night light.

We were too busy do to very many activities. The Gally Tour was interesting. The Pirate Night was the best. Pack a Pirate costume for the whole family.

Here are a few things I tried to find out about, now I know......
There aren't any lockers on Castaway Cay. There are lockers on the Dolphin Encounter. Advice if you go as an observer, you will be standing behind all the action but you are very close. I suppose it is set up thay way because they are in front filming and taking pictures to sell to you afterwords. We brought an underwater camera as did the family sitting next to us. We took pictures for each other (I still spent over $100.00 on the DVD and more pictures.) You get to interact with the dolphins but not swim with them. It was well worth it. Everyone loved it.
Side note: they have float tubes at both ends of the family beach at Castaway Cay. Go to the end it is less crowded. If you sit next to a life guard there is a lot of yelling in bull horns.

Disney makes everything run like a fine oiled machine. So easy to get there and back. The luggage program worked without a hitch. We had lots of fun. Up early, up late, exhausting, but worth it.
