Itinerary: Ensenada

We stayed 4 nights on the elation. By the third I was ready to depart this ship. I found the food on the borderline of nasty. The ship was very old and it does show its age. If the crew would take better care of it,it might have looked decent. The public bathrooms looked like those you would find in gas stations. We were traveling with my kids on their first cruise and they did enjoy it, although my oldest daughter which was supposed to be in the circle c program didn't care so much for it. Maybe it was because there wasn' t that many kids signed up. My youngest loved camp carnival.

Very bland. The juice they served was very sweet. I had a headache for the first day after drinking it. I drank water for the rest of the cruise and purchased a soda card for my kids.

The stateroom was small but big enough to fit all four of us. I didn't care for the decor but I cant complain since
the price was right for the four of us. The one thing that was really great was the beds. Very comfortable. They also have over sized plush pool towels, and bathrobes.

In the day, I found that the activities lacked. Especially for a family. The activities were plentiful at night. It was hard to catch them all because most are going on at the same time. The shows in the Mikado were excellent. My kids enjoyed them as well.

We didn't do much in Catalina. The weather was bad. It was interesting to see. I have been here before but my kids enjoyed it. To get to Catalina you need to take a small boat. The ocean was very choppy. I was sea sick coming back to the ship. After we came back to the ship,we found out that they closed the boats so no one else was able to tender.Wish I would've known. I would not have gone. As for Ensenada, I don't care for it. To many swindlers. It makes me uncomfortable. My kids didn't like it either. Next time we will stay on the ship.

Overall, We did have a good time. The best thing is the family time spent together. I did get a pretty good price and they will always remember this vacation. I think that I will try Royal Caribbean next year though. Even if the price is a little more.
