Fred Olsen Cruise Lines |
The Black Watch was acquired by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines in 1996, refurbished and launched as the Black Watch. She was formerly one of the Royal Viking Line ships and was built for world cruising. She is a classic long distance cruiser and offers many public rooms and comfortable accommodations.

Excerpts from Fred Olsen Cruise Line's Website To continually enhance the onboard experience we offer to Fred. Olsen passengers, Black Watch underwent a scheduled re-fit between Monday 18 April 2005 and Monday 20 June 2005. During this period, certain cabins were upgraded. These cabin renovations will provide the ship with more cabins with balconies, including some single cabins, and will ensure that the Black Watch is indeed the Flagship of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and will serve to endorse her popularity. The Black
Watch will now have a new grade of twin-bedded cabin with
balconies - the Balcony Cabin; and will also have a Superior
Single Balcony Cabin and Single Balcony Cabin. We are confident that these changes will contribute towards the definitive Fred. Olsen cruising experience.
