Before sailing on the Ryndam, please read all reviews. There are some that say this is a good cruise ship. There are MANY more that have gotten sick on the Ryndam recently, including me. The staff was friendly, although it would take two/three hours to get someone to come unstop the toilet. Then it would overflow again! The food was O.K. The beds were great! (Best sleep ever on a cruise!) The nurse that came to our cabin was very nice and professional. My problem, and the problem of many others was the toilets overflowing, and the shower/bath water smelling like feces. Yes, there were Purell hand cleaning stations EVERYWHERE! Wonder why??? After getting sick, we were quarantined (the last night of the cruise). The next morning, long before the other passengers were to disembark, we were 'escorted' off the boat....my husband, myself, and about 30 other people!!!! We were rushed into separate cabs (not the shuttle) and taken to the airport.

Give the devil his due, the staff did try to contain this illness. BUT, people still were getting sick!!!! Purell hand cleaner and quarantining the sick wasn't working! This ship needs a true, unbiased inspection of its water system.
