Well, what can I say about this ship. For starters I
took my whole family on this cruise line thinking since this is our first time
to try a shorter cruise. This ship is very old and somewhat maintained. I was in
room M-20- the room itself was a decent size, but the bathroom is extremely
small. My husband stated that the shower curtain kept sticking to him.
The food was good and the waitstaff was excellent. The only thing was I felt a
bit rushed to chose an excursion since it was on a Sunday that we docked in
Nassau. They made it seem like everything will be closed. So we went to a
secluded island tour where they filmed the original Gilligan's Island & Splash
nice scenery. But we were stuck here from 9 to 2pm not to mention @ $45 a head
for a family of 5. Also we had to be back on the ship by 5:30pm. So, if you are
thinking of cruising with the Regal Empress it is cheaper and more time
efficient to go on your own and catch a cab and tour Nassau that way.
I plan to go back to Nassau in January of 2006, just my husband & I. What can I say it was a lesson learned. You get what you pay for...Thanks
