The Imperial Majesty has been taken a bad wrap. It is a budget cruise line
and there is no need to expect a lot of glitz and glamour. The ship has
everything that the larger ships have just on a smaller scale. I have
sailed on two other cruises with Carnival and had an equally good time. We
decided to take this cruise because it was only a two day cruise and we
wanted to take the children along. The children had the time of their
lives. I will mention however that the children's program is not much to
speak of. The food and service was wonderful. My husband actually
commented that our cabin was a lot bigger than the ones we had on the
other ships. I paid for an upgrade on our cabin. One of the women at our
table at dinner mentioned that she was not having that great of a time the
first night we were on the ship, but like I told her fun does not come
knocking on your cabin door you have to go find it. The next night she
mentioned that it wasn't as bad as she had said it was. Everyone I spoke
to seemed to really have a good time. It is like any other ship, if you
want a coke or a drink it willed be charged to your account. The drinks
are actually cheaper on this ship than on the others I have been on. I
overheard several people complaining about having to pay for cokes, but
that is on all ships. Don't let the other reviews change your mind, go on
the cruise and have a great time. It is all what you make of it. I would
definitely go on this cruise again. Two days was long enough for my son.
He had a good time and was actually ready to go on the second day. If you
have children I suggest this cruise for a first time with them.
