Itinerary: Bahamas

Overall, this was a bad experience. First off, we were supposed to go to the Bahamas, but a hurricane was hitting that area. We called the day prior to our scheduled departure to check if the cruise would be delayed or re-routed to another port. The information desk stated they were unsure if there would be any changes, and would not know until that day, and we should arrive as scheduled. This is all fine and good however, the line did know that they weren't going to sail to the Bahamas, the group prior to ours didn't go to the Bahamas either. When we arrived, we were advised that we were on a "cruise to nowhere". This was a really big problem... If we would have been told the truth, we could have spent time in other parts of Florida waiting for the next cruise to the Bahamas. Since we had driven all that way, and made the preparations for boarding, we decided to take the cruise anyway. After completing all the paperwork we were allowed to board ship. When we were shown our cabins, we found that they were far apart (not like promised: supposed to be across or next door to eachother). So, we had to go back to the dock and get another room. Well, to our surprise the gentleman who is in charge of helping us move one of our rooms was a very grumpy, impolite, inconsiderate person. After discussing the problem he reassigned one of the rooms so we can at least be in the same hallway. We then reboarded the ship and found problems with the accomodations. NOISE from the engine... We again went back to the nice gentleman to ask for another room. Even though the ship was way below capacity he stated he could not move us again. He would have to charge us for the exchange. Even though we were in an upgraded cabin, we agreed that we could have one or both downgraded if it meant we woud be in a better area. Still, he complained, grumbled and became downright mean. We thought that we will make do with what we have and will attempt to enjoy ourselves. On our way back from "NOWHERE"The seas became choppy VERY CHOPPY!! thanks to the hurricane so my family became very sick. On the brighter side, the dinner meals were good, and the waitstaff we had were nice.
Dinner was good...
Smelled of urine
The evening entertainment was acceptable
Didn't have any. We were stuck on ship for two days.
