 MSC Cruise Line

Originally established under the name Flotta Lauro, this cruise was taken over by the Mediterranean Shipping Company, one of the largest shipping operators in the world, in 1990. Today, Mediterranean Shipping Cruises operates three cruise ships, but the company also has one more 60,000 gt newbuild in order for delivery in 2004, respectively. MSC caters to a primarily European clientele, but more and more U.S. passengers who prefer a more traditional European cruise experience with fellow passengers from many different countries have chosen the cruise line in recent years.
