While I am not a big cruise fan, I will never cruise MSC or recommend it. The low price of 299 and the disembarking for the final time were the highlights of the cruise. At a low low price i may recommend, but after that, stay with the other big names. The international flavour that MSC should suppy is lacking, except for the lengthy, annoying 5 languages that the cruise director bores you with.

Just okay. Risottos were very good. Pastas were just ok or terrible. My carbonara sauce was a disgrace. Morning Omlettes were the worse, did they use synthetic eggs? Corned beef hash was out of a can it seemed. The morning breakfast in the cafeteria was like a whole lot of nothing, so we ate in the dining room and also for lunch. Just way too many people waiting in line with no place to sit. The dinner plates had no presentation what so ever. Basically the food was either a hit, a miss or ok. You never knew what you were going to get. As an talian who appreciates food and I am not fussy, i was diappointed

I really enjoyed our inside cabin with the window view. Clean, spacious and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice. No compaints here.

The shows before dinner were excellent. The singers, acrobats and others were great. The 3 piece band(violin, piano, cello) were awesome. After that, throw everyone overboard. Animation, activitiies, bars, were boring. And again, evrything in long boring 5 languages. 2 bars offered live bands and listening to them was painful. I am Italian, but if you are not avoid this cruise line. due to the night life

we did our own thing on the islands. Don't be afraid of St Thomas, St. Maarten, or Nassau. The people are friendly and don't be afraid to bargain with them. Especially in the jewelry stores, take another 30% of their first offer.

A price of 299 brought us to the MSC Poesia and talking to other passengers, the low price that MSC offers led them as well. The food was average, but the layout at pool deck is really bad. I have done 2 other cruises in the last 6 years and they were far superior to the Poesia and the same size. At 2500 people, this ship gets crowded at the cafeteria and at poolside. The ship offers a beautiful disco, but its empty due to the large amount of older people on board. The gym is small, offers little. I did not checkout the spa except for the steam room. It could have been nice but as a male, i do NOT need to be bothered, annoyed and propositioned by some male spa attendant. This was very bothersome and MSC will hear from me about this matter. MSC also needs to upgrade the cruise director as she was very poor, no personality, just a 5 language translator.
