Overall, the cruise was terrible. I was disappointed in almost everything. For a new ship, it does not have any outstanding features. Atrium is one story high. Not at all impressive. Pool is small. Activity staff is amateurs that try to be funny and are not successful. Shows were OK. Bingo is a rip off in my opinion. Only awarded $500 to $600 in awards in total for all games. Yet jackpot was increased by $2,000 each day. No one hit the jackpot $15,000(which is almost impossible) and was told that it carried over to the next cruise. No one could tell me when the jackpot was hit but we started at $2,000. Drinks are expensive. You always hear about how great the food is on a cruise. Not on this cruise ship. This is probably my last trip on NCL. They are heading in the wrong directions as far as service, cost, food, entertainment.

One of the great things about a cruise was always the food. Not on Norwegian Gem. It was awlful most of the time. Lobster tail lokked like a medium sized shrimp. Had apple pie with whipped cream. Pie was the size of a hockey puck and they put a teaspoon of whipped cream next to it. Steak was 1/4 inch thick and was like shoe leather. Buffet food was no better. Limited selection, cold, not prepared well at all. I could go on but I would just be reating myself.

Very disapointed in what is happening to NCL
