Overall, the cruise was decent given that it was spring break. We took our 14 and 18 year old kids. we had a good time but it definitely could have been better in some ways.On deck there were never enough chairs because people save them then don't come back. I remove towels so i could have a chair.

We dined in the main dining room most nights and most breakfasts. We had buffet for lunch. selections were good. Most food was good. We learned to get our table first in buffet if you wanted to eat your food hot. Buffet was always busy. You were better off going to dining room. We ate at specialty restaurants twice. One night at the asian restaurant Orchid Garden it was great and once at the Italian La Cucina also very good. Portions in the dining room seemed smaller but that was good because you felt you could have an appetizer, salad, soup and your entree and dessert. You left full. Never used room service so no comment on that. Chocolate buffet was nice but it was just before dinner 5:00 to 10:00. that seemed awkward. There were plenty of choices throughout the ship. No need to eat the same thing every day and you certainly were not going to be hungry.Ever.

We had a suite this cruise because we found our last cruise too crowded. The room was large and never felt crowded. Sofa bed set up at night and folded up each morning. Our cabin guy Rolly was wonderful. He learned our names immediately so we new he was a person who would pay attention to detail. Very efficient and not a bother. You leave and he was in to tidy up. His towel animals some of the best ever. The lobster and the frog the best. We had plenty of storage for all our luggage and clothing.

Some activities a little too scripted. Most were fun or fun to watch. White hot party just a dance party and a place to charge extra for drinks in a light up cup. I was expecting something a little different. Dance floor too crowded. Hottubs always overcrowded. First night out to hot tubs, only one had room and as we approached we realized why only two people were in it and all the others were overfull.

Entertainment was good. Could have been a little more variety. They used their own group a lot and just changed the show. Comedian Jeff Harms very funny. Saw him a few times all different shows. Dancing with the Norwegian stars show also pretty funny. Probably fixed as to winner but funny getting to the finish. Kids hung out with teen groups most night after the shows. They had a good time and met many new friends.

Port Canaveral excursions very expensive and nothing we wanted to do so we took a cab to the beach and shopping. Cab picked up right where we were let off so very easy. Nassau we shopped only, no excursions because we have been there before and weather was so so. Great Stirrup Cay was a total disaster. Approximately 2800 people on boat. We were told to get a tender ticket when your party was ready to go to the island. Okay so tender boats hold about 400 to 450 people. There are three boats one broke down so down to two. Its about 4or5 min to island. We waited at least two hours to get on a boat. Got to the island walked 10 min down the beach and not a chair available so parked ourselves on the beach. Kids went to get food. We shared. We went for a walk and then saw a wall of rain coming so had to race back pick up our stuff and head back to a pavilion. We maybe had an hour there. I thought i'd get some food or fruit . No.. everything put away. Got in line and waited about two hours to get back to the ship. What a waste of a day.

Overall we enjoyed our cruise. We loved Manhattan and we want to go back. We will never cruise from New York on spring break again . A lot of kids out of control. Their parents would be disappointed. Also i believe that unlike most cruise lines this one allowed anyone 21 to book a room while most others have a rule that at least one person in the room must be 25 years old at that time of year. Getting to the port was very easy. Parking a little pricey but convenient. We were early so we dropped off our luggage and drove around Manhattan for a little more sight seeing. Embarkation was very easy. Disembarkation though was very slow as most people chose to take their own luggage off so that took about 1 and a half hours, but no problems.
