Overall, I would recommend this ship to most people. It was a good value "for the money". If you want to wallow in luxury, pay more and cruise another ship. We were on the Biscayne deck which is the least luxurious of all. Our room was adequate but my mother (she is 75) would have appreciated a small chair instead of sitting on the bed. The dining room courses were presented very well and probably the best I have had on any previous cruises. Even the breakfast offerings were excellent. Ninety percent of the crew was very nice, even the last day, which always seems to be "not so nice day" on most other cruises since tips have been received by then. I registered my mother and I via the internet and took a copy of the information along with me. This went well. We received a nice plastic boarding pass to use throughout our trip. My mother did this same cruise last February and she noticed many more security changes since that time. We had to have our cards swiped upon leaving and re-entering the ship each time. The ship was well maintained for its age and era. The entertainment was top-notch and the shows presented by the Jean Ann Ryan Dance Co. were worth the price of the cruise alone.

Some of the areas that need improvement in my opinion, are: the on-board credit sign-up is not convenient and is quite slow.

Boarding and unboarding the tenders is a very slow process and can leave you sitting for quite a long time just staring into space. The amateur talent show was great but started too close to the formal dinner hour on Friday evening so many people had to leave to dress for dinner. The spa attendants were not very cordial. I was told they are not owned by NCL. We were all very disappointed when the wind and waves were too strong to tender us in to Great Stirrup Cay but the crew quickly scrambled and came up with new activities for the day including free rum punch from 2PM to 3PM. This was a safety issue so nothing could be done. The fitness room was well equipped and the largest I have seen on any ship. A huge casino and great decks for sunning make this a very nice cruise for a small price.
