To start this ship was beautiful and the rooms were very nice, we had a balcony
room and were traveling in a group of 25 people. We spent alot of money to enjoy
a cruise but found the staff to be completely unfriendly, I have cruised before
and never seen such an awful display by most of the employees. They avoided
helping you rather than do their jobs, easpecially in the buffet area you could
choke before someone offered to get you a drink. I believe this may be because
of their automatic tipping policy, why work when you alreay know what your tip
will be. Our staterooms were tidied but not cleaned the glasses were not
replaced just rinsed, the floor had sand on it and it took 2 days for her to
vaccum. Then to top off our trip five of the twelve rooms became infested with
what the staff of Norweigan called sand flys. We complained of being bit all
night long and were told that there was nothing they could do. The maid said she
would clean the carpet, what on earth would that do? We called and called and
were told that the hotel Asst. Manager would be in contact with us, of course he
never contacted anyone. We went down to the desk, only to be told they could
only make a note of it and that we would have to contact their main headquarters
in Miami, of course no one there has responded. Never again would I travel
Norweigan, the ship was dirty the staff was unhelpful, half did not understand
english, and they had no idea where anything was onboard. Take my advise do not
travel aboard this ship.
